The Examination Hub

We are incredibly proud of our role as an examination centre and the diverse range of performing arts exams we offer. Since our establishment in 2008, we have maintained an impeccable 100% pass rate – a reflection of the dedication of our students and the high standards of our training. Our LAMDA exam suite is also now available to external students.

    LAMDA EXAMS

LAMDA Acting Examinations offered through The Stage Centre

As part of our commitment to a well-rounded student experience, we believe in offering opportunities to formalise and further develop performance training. That’s why we’re proud to be a registered private examination centre for LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), currently offering LAMDA Exams in Acting.

Founded in 1861, LAMDA is one of the UK’s oldest and most prestigious drama schools. With a long-standing reputation for excellence, it has trained generations of exceptional actors and stage professionals who have gone on to shape the worlds of theatre, film, and television across the globe.

From Level 3 upwards, LAMDA examinations also carry UCAS points, making them a valuable addition to any student’s academic and performance profile.

These are solo performance exams, prepared through 1-to-1 coaching with our expert Acting and Voice tutors, ensuring personalised guidance and high-quality preparation with a dedicated showcase morning for friend and family before the examination.

    1-to-1 sessions are charged separately.

Examinations also carry an entry fee based on the Grade level.

LAMDA exams not only enhance acting technique but also build confidence, communication skills, and poise – qualities that benefit students both on and off the stage.

  • ISTD DANCE EXAMS

Examinations in Ballet, Tap, and Modern Dance

We are proud to be an accredited studio with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) – one of the UK’s leading and internationally recognised dance examination boards.

Students may begin taking exams from the age of 6, although participation is entirely optional. Whilst every child follows the structured grade work in these classes, entering for an exam is a personal decision supported by the teacher and family.

We only put students forward when we know they are fully prepared, ensuring exams are a positive and confidence-building experience.

We are incredibly proud of our 100% pass rate, a reflection of the high technical standards and supportive training environment we provide.

A strong foundation in Ballet, Tap, and Modern not only creates confident, capable, and versatile dancers – it also opens doors to further development in other genres such as Contemporary, Lyrical, and Street/Commercial Dance.

Examinations also help students grow in self-discipline, presentation skills, and personal confidence – valuable skills that extend beyond the studio.

MUSICAL THEATRE STAGESCHOOL EXAMS BY RSL

Group Musical Theatre Examinations (by RSL)

We are delighted to offer group musical theatre examinations through theStageSchool exams by RSL (Rock School, London) – an exciting and innovative exam board that celebrates ensemble performance.

These unique examinations allow students to perform as a group while being assessed individually at their own grade level in acting, singing and dance. Each student receives their own result and personalised report sheet, recognising their individual progress and achievement within a group performance context.

Preparation for these exams takes place during class time, meaning there are no additional tuition fees – only the exam board entry fee applies.
Performances may be showcased as part of a dedicated show or held on a designated examination day. All students participate in these performances, and we highly encourage everyone to take the exam and give it a go!
